Mmmmm Bread

Let me start by saying I love bread. It is really one of my favorite things to eat. So about two weeks ago I was on my way home from the store and my sister-in-law Nickie called and said she had left something on my doorstep. When I got home there was a little plastic container and a couple of sheets of paper. I opened the container and it smelled kind of like yeast. So I read the papers. They contained directions on how to make Amish Friendship bread. Now I had never heard of this before and I had never made bread so I decided I would try it out. The process takes ten days but if you have never had this bread let me just say it is so worth it. The container held the starter and I have heard it is hard to get the starter just right so if you get it from someone use it. The first few days you don't really do anything. Then day six you add a few things then let it sit again. On day ten you finish it including giving out three starters to friends. I was afraid I would do something wrong but it turned out great. It makes two loaves and I have literally eaten one of the loaves all by myself. Yummy! Thanks Nickie I really enjoyed it and to those out there I gave it to see it through til the end it is worth it.
