Lagoon

Our fun 4th of July spilled over to Saturday and we went to Lagoon with Cameron's family. Cameron's dad Woody worked for Qwest for 35 years before retiring this winter. Every year they have a Qwest family day at Lagoon. The last time we went was in 2004 so we thought it would be fun to go again. We got there early and decided to do the water rides first before the lines became to long. They were lots of fun but lets just say I was about as wet as I am when I go swimming. It was around 100 degrees so being that wet helped me to stay cool for a while at least. Cameron was really nice to me and even though it was his 31st birthday he took the kids and let me ride all the big rides with his sister Randi. We did most of them but I didn't have the stomach for the Wicked ride. If you have never seen it you should look up on the Lagoon website and check it out. The first drop is freaky! Qwest does a raffle for all those in attendance and you have to been there to get the prize. I thought it was silly to wait around because the lady doing it was really slow and I thought for sure we would win nothing. Cameron said to go ride rides and he would sit there with the kids. I said ok and left. Later I found out that while Grace did not win the girl bike and was very upset, she got over it and was very happy when her little brother won the boy one. Yeah for me now I don't have to buy him a bike when he gets bigger. All in all it was lots of fun. I would say that Disneyland is much better and for the price you might as well go to Calli, but for a fun family day trip it was worth it. Here are a few pictures from our day, including Blake and his bike.

That is really cool about the bike...knowing him he will probably be riding without training wheels before you know it.
