Disney Princesses on Ice

Last night Grace and I went to Disney Princess on Ice with my sister in law Katy and her little girl Maddi. The girls wanted to dress up so Grace got to be Belle and Maddi was Snow White. We went to dinner at Rumbi which was really good and then headed over. Both the girls loved it. Neither really said anything the whole two hours, they were mesmerized. Grace was a little disappointed because Belle didn't wear the dress she was wearing but at the very end she did come out in it so Grace was then very pleased. I really enjoyed myself also. Disney does such a good job with everything they do and this was no exception. Also at the very end when all the princesses came out the cheer went up that was kind of unbelievable from a group of little girls, it was loud. They all cheered so hard for their favorite one. Oh the joy of little kids! We really had a great time. Above is all of us before it started.Grace and I before it started.

3 Little Lions

All three of my children have worn the same lion costume for their first Halloween. Since they are all roughly the same age(Blake is the oldest in these pictures) I thought it would be fun to compare the three to see how much they look alike since this is one of the few things all three of them have worn. Above is Halloween 2004 with Grace as the lion. She is 5 1/2 months old. This is Blake Halloween 2006. He is 7 1/2 months old.
This is Lucy Halloween 2009. She is 4 1/2 months old. I guess they favor but I think they all have their own look.

Halloween Fun

This year for Halloween we had Belle, a cowboy and a lion. We had a ward party last weekend and the kids got to dress out and then for Halloween Blake, Lucy and I trick-or-treated our neighborhood. Poor Grace was at home sick but she was just happy that her sweet brother did her trick-or-treating for her. I think that she wasn't that overly upset because she got to dress up for our ward party and for a friend party she was invited to. To the left my cute kids.Grace was very insistent that she was going to be Belle. I tried very hard to get her to be Rosetta from Tinker Belle but she would have non of that. She really wanted her hair just like Belle's too so I invested in a curling iron and tried my best, she was pleased I think. On the night of Halloween she felt so bad she didn't even want to dress up but I am a mean mother and I made her so I could get pictures. In the end she was happy to be dressed up but she didn't trick-or-treat but she did watch her dad pass out the candy.
My little cowboy forgot half way around the neighborhood that he was a cowboy and started growling at everyone. I guess he should have been a dino or lion or something. Oh well he loved his guns. He also loved trick-or-treating. I couldn't get him to go home. I did finally have to take Lucy home because it was so cold but he couldn't have cared less. He was also so nice to get Grace some candy. She didn't get quite as much as him because he offered his bucket first and some people would tell him only one treat. He tried to explain but some people still said no. Oh well he tried and she did get some.
My cute little lion with spit all over. She thought she was pretty funny all dressed up and kept giggling. I am a bad mother and forgot her gloves while we were out but she never cried even though her hands were freezing. She just looked around very interested in what all the crazy people where doing.

Now we just need to get rid of all the candy so I will quit eating it!

Red Barn

Last Friday we went to the pumpkin patch at the Red Barn with our friends Ryan, Chalan, Jake and Mel and their kids. It was lots of fun. You take a hay ride to the patch and then pick your pumpkins and then ride back to pay. They have a little store that sells all kinds of yummy treats including pumpkin doughnuts which are my new favorite thing. Good thing the barn is a ways away because of our 6 I eat three and a half. After we all went to the Pizza Factory for dinner. The kids had some much fun, now we just have to carve the pumpkins!Grace and Blake with their pumpkins. Blake's is huge, he can't even pick it up!
Lucy chillin'. I did get her a pumpkin but never got her picture with it.
The kids posing. Blythe and Grace love to cheese for the camera. Blake and Creed decided they needed to hide their faces.

4 Months Old

I know that I say this every month but she is growing way too quickly. Lucy is such a good sweet baby and she is getting so funny. This month she has started reaching for things and then they go right in her month. She is also pulling her knees up under her while she is on her tummy. I fear that she will crawl before she learns how to roll from her front to her back. The getting stuck on her tummy thing is getting kind of old especially at 2 in the am when all she wants is for me to roll her back over. A not so good mile stone this month was her first cold. She was very good but I could tell she was miserable. Her new nickname is Miss Spits Alot because she spits ALOT! Also I forgot to mention it last month but when she gets sleepy she rubs her eyes, it is terrible cute! I tried so hard to get a really cute picture today and she would not keep her hands out of her month so this is the cutest I got.First time in the exersaucer.
Doing the superman. She is very good at this since she spends so much time on her tummy. It is immediate when I put her down that she rolls over but then she doesn't try at all to go all the way. It is getting frustrating.
All bundled up at Grace's soccer game.
Such a cute happy girl.
With crazy hair!
Cute smile.
This month she has started making funny faces. This one is her ugly face. When she does this she breathes really hard out of her noise to where you can hear it. It is Lucy showing you she is mad. It is pretty funny.
We all love her so much. She has been such a blessing to our home! As a side note while I was writing this she rolled all the way over twice. Fingers crossed she keeps it up!

Cali Trip Day 6

On the last day we finally headed to California Adventure. There were very few people there and we did all the rides we wanted to do very quickly. We also got to see lots of characters that I didn't even know they had out in the park. We all bought the girls the same dress so we could get a picture of all of them and we wore them this day but it didn't ever happen but I did get the cute picture of my girls to the left. The kids with Matter and McQueen. Blake was so excited to see them.

Yes we did finally see Donald. He was not in his usually outfit but that didn't matter we got his picture and autograph, Grace was very pleased. Top Right is Flik from Bugs Life. Bottom left Woody and bottom right Handy Manny.

Top Left Mr. Incredible, right Blake and Pluto. Bottom left and right Sully from Monsters.

Some of the rides we did in Cali Adventure. The kids favorite was for sure Tower of Terror. Grace did it like 6 times. Blake only got to do it once because yet again he was too short but Cameron some how got him on. He was so sad he couldn't do it again. Hopefully next time they will be tall enough for everything. I will say that Grace is like me, a roller coaster junky!

This is in front of Boo's door from Monster's Inc. We have tried to ride this ride so many times and it is always broken down. We tried two years ago and never got to and then on this day we tried twice and once we were in line and it broke. Finally later in the afternoon we tried one last time and we got to do it. I was sad because Blake loves Monster's and he was at the hotel with his dad napping and he missed out. I am sure he didn't care but I cared from him.

After lunch we headed back to Disney since we had already done everything at Cali Adventure and Grace insisted on this picture. I really don't know why she wanted her picture in the A. Katy and I just had Grace and Maddi again so we just rerode rides they wanted to do. We also went back to Toon Town because Grace wanted to go in Donald's tug boat. Later the guys came back and we did Buzz and Pirates again. We finally decided we had had enough when Cameron realized he had left Lucy formula at the hotel and she was screaming. He and Blake headed back because I wanted to look at one more thing before heading out too. Well Grace some how talked me into staying and watching this water show called Fantasmic. It was really really good. I am so happy so made me stay but yet again I was sad for Blake having missed it.

This is just a cute picture I thought I would throw in. I don't know how many times we ate at In-N-Out but we did a lot and it was yummy every time! We had such a fun trip. It was exhausting and I felt like I needed a vacation to recover but it was a blast. Thanks so much to Chris and Woody!

Cali Trip Day 5

On day 5 we started the day in San Diego at the SD Zoo Wild Animal Park. Here they house endangered animals and bred them to boast population numbers. After breding and raising them they then try to release them into the wild. It was pretty interesting but very hot! They the kids, minus Lucy and Savannah on a Rhino.
In the petting area.
Since they have the animals in areas as much like their normal habitat as possible the area is huge so they have a little train that you ride to see the animals up close. They pictures of above are from the train. The bottom picture is Cameron's parents with Grace and Maddi.
Blake getting up close and personal with a lioness.
They had a little water area that the kids found quickly and to say they were a little wet is an understatement, they were soaked. But they could have cared less because of how hot it was.
After we got back we once again headed to Disney. The picture above is just inside the front gates. We just went through and rerode some rides, including Buzz and Pirates.
We also took turns riding Indiana Jones since all of the kids were to small. The boys and Randi went first which is what the first picture is of. When they came back Katy, Randi and I headed down with a parent switch pass. Well right as our car was starting to go it stopped and the whole ride shut down. We were down there for an hour waiting for it to start again. They people with us were getting really upset because of the wait and they had kids waiting. We asked the girl what would happen if we got out of line and she said she would give us re entrance passes. We decided to take those and then the ride started. She said we could stay in line and she would give them to us any way. Well they were going to let us on the first car but then decided to let all the people stuck in the ride ride through again with no stop. This made sense but kind of annoying, we would have to wait longer. Well the people with us started yelling and swearing at the works about it. One car pulled up and some people opted to get off so the workers told them to get on. They then turned to us and kind of sheepishly said we could got since we had 7 kids waiting and they only had one. Really getting that upset over one kid who was with 2 grandparents. We had 7 kids with three men, I am surprised they were all still with them and alive when we got out. Tarzan's tree house was right next to the ride so Cameron took them all there which is were Blake is in the picture above. About 45 minutes into the ordeal Randi's phone worked for a second so she texted Cameron and they headed to Buzz where we met up with them. It was quite the excitement but we did finally get our ride.
