Jackson Hole

Last weekend for the holiday we went up to Jackson Hole, Wy with some of Cameron's family. It is so beautiful up there and so relaxing. The kids were way excited and asked me everyday when we were leaving, they did realize how long the car ride would be. We did split up up a little and on the way stayed in our sister-in-law Katy's family cabin in Bear Lake and then drove the rest of the way on Friday. When we got there it was raining so we hung out and then went down to the town square and walked around. We all got our picture taken in the antler arch and did some shopping.Part of the Family.

That night we went for dinner to the Bar J Wranglers. It is a fun chuck wagon dinner and with entertainment after. Some of the cowboys sing old cowboy songs. The kids had fun but got pretty tired. While there I even ran into someone I knew from Georgia, small world!. Above Cameron and the kids in their cowboy hats.

The next day we went over to Teton National park. We rode the boat across Jenny Lake and then did two short hikes.

Our family at Inspiration Point. The sign says that it is 7200 Feet.
After we got back from the Tetons the kids took a nap so they could rest up for the Rodeo. Before we headed their we went back to the town square to watch the shoot out. We took a quick picture of our cowboys hats and it is a good thing we did because half way through the shoot out it started to rain and didn't stop. We went to the Rodeo for about five minutes and left because it was not fun. The kids were sad.
Our little cowgirl and boy!
We did get their minds off of it by going back to grandma and grandpa's hotel and going swimming. Cameron's farmers tan is sweet!
Chillin' in the hot tub. The fun weekend was topped off with a horribly long car ride home. What should have taken about 5 hours turned into 9.5. We sat for an hour in Jackson for a wreck. Somewhere in Wyoming Cameron got a ticket and we sat there for like 30 minutes and then in Provo Canyon we sat for another two hours for a wreck. It was not fun but the kids actually did great. Lucy was very well behaved and actually chose this trip to sleep through the night for the first time!
This was on the way home and and I had to throw it in because she is so dang cute and this is where she was like 90% of the time and she was so good. Hopefully she is still this good in a month when we go to Disneyland, fingers crossed!

No Training Wheels and a Big Boy Bike

About two months ago Grace started begging her dad to take the training wheels off of her bike. He just kept telling her she wasn't ready and he would do it when she got a little bigger. Finally the Sunday after the fourth she convinced him to take them off. After two tries with him holding the back she rode off all on her own. I showed her how to start on her own and she hasn't stopped since. She is so proud of her self and we are proud of her.

Also about a month ago Cameron put the bike Blake won a year ago together and he loves it. I am just afraid that he is going to see Grace without her training wheels and want his off too. Hopefully we have a while before that happens!

One Month old and Blessing

I can hardly believe that my baby is already one month old. How quickly time flies, especially when she is such a good baby. Her one down fall is she will not sleep in her own bed she sleeps in her carrier but oh well she is sleeping and she only gets up once a night so I can't complain. We all love having her in our family. Some of us love her too much (her brother) and need to give her a little space sometimes. It makes me a little sad that she is getting bigger but I need to be a big girl and just deal with it right. Anyway happy 1 month Lucy!On Sunday we got to bless and it was a great experience. My parents were still here so that got to be here for it and all of Cameron's family came. Above is Lucy in her blessing dress. It was also Grace's. When I told her this she was so excited. I had two different bracelets for her to wear and let Grace pick which one. She picked the one that she had wore on her blessing day. It made her really happy for Lucy to wear all of her things.

My three kids. I have to say I think they are the cutest kids ever!

Happy Fourth of July!

I know that it has been forever since the Fourth but since it is my favorite holiday I didn't want to pass over it. We did a lot of fun things the weekend of the Fourth and I had tons of pictures so I tired to condense them and just show the highlights. To the left is our family at the stadium of fire fireworks(outside on the MTC lawn of course).Like last year Cameron's brother Dan and his family invited us up to their house on the third to watch the city of North Salt Lake's fire works. This year the Bar-B-Que before was at his wife Katy's brother's house. The kids had fun playing their backyard while the rest of us ate. I don't think they ever eat if we are at a function with other kids. After dinner we walked up to the golf course to watch the fireworks. There was a firetruck sitting down the hill from where we were sitting all the kids wanted to go see it so their nice dads took them. I don't think they were really suppose to get in the truck but Blake just hopped right in so the rest did too!

These are just some pictures we took for the show started.

The nest day(the 4th) Cameron's mom had a Bar-B-Que planned for her whole family. After we ate she had some fun games planned for the kids. One of them was a doughnut eating contest and Cameron decided he better join in on this one. Blake got a little upset because he couldn't get the doughnut in his mouth.

Grace and her doughnut.

The was also a pinata and the kids had great fun smacking that. At the bottom they are gathering up their candy. I am sorry to report that it is still in my house, good thing it is not candy that I am tempted to eat.

That night we did our usual and got KFC and went to the MTC grounds to watch the Stadium of Fire fireworks. It was fun and the kids loved playing Frisbee with their dad. Poor little Lucy didn't make it to the show before falling asleep. I guess we will see next year how much she likes them.

Lucy in her red, white and blue.

If you can tell from the first picture Blake loves his little sister. He loves to poke, pinch and squeeze her. I don't know how much love is returned but I think his intentions are good.

We usually do the sidewalk of fire for the family for the 24th but this year most of the family is going to be out of town so we decided to do them on Sunday instead. since that is also Cameron's birthday it worked out good. We had cake and ice cream and fire works, it was fun. Blake picked out the firework he wanted to light and wouldn't let go of it all night, it is pictured with him above. He didn't even try to light any others because he just wanted to do that one with the dragon on it.

He finally got to light it at the very end and he was so excited. It was a great weekend and we had lots of fun. I can't wait for next year!
