Go Big RED!

For the last two weeks Grace has been in a cheer camp at the high school. The cheer-leaders do this as their big fundraiser of the year. She did really well and really had fun. I had lots of fun helping her with her arm positions and her dance. Since I sat there for the hour everyday I memorized the dance and we would go home and practice. The funny part was the song they danced to was Zero to Hero from the Disney cartoon Hercules. Cameron and Blake love that movie and that is Cameron's favorite song, he sings it all the time around the house. I wish I had videoed her doing the dance but I didn't. She also learned two cheers. It was so cute watching her. Maybe she will follow in her mother's footsteps and cheer!Blythe and Grace after. This year they were not in the same age group but next year they will be.
Grace is right in the middle on the second row. This is at the end of one of her cheers. Look at the placement of her arm and it is so straight, we worked hard to get that just right and she was so proud of her self!

T-Ball

Since the season is already half over I decided I better get this posted. This year Grace decided not to play again, which didn't hurt my feelings at all. She really didn't like and I am not the biggest fan myself. I think it could quite possibly be the most boring sport ever. Blake however is old enough this year and he did want to play. I missed his opening day parade and first game because I was in Georgia for my grandmother's funeral but my friend Chalan got this cute picture of the boys in the truck for the parade.Creed, Blake and Braxton at their first practice. Cameron's brother Jason is their coach and after this practice I am sure he never wanted to volunteer again. Only two kids had ever played before and there are ten on the team so I am sure you can imagine how it went!
Up to bat. They have coach pitched a little to them and he has actually hit the ball. It didn't go far but he made contact. He is getting lots better, he actually knows which way to run the bases now!
This is entitled I am bored. I don't know if either he nor I can do all three years of t-ball. Every time in the out field he throws dirt or grass and plays with Creed. I think that since it is soooo slow pace he just gets sooo bored and who can blame him. Next year I think we might try kick ball!

Yearly Pictures

It's that time of year again, get the kids pictures taken. I held off on Blake's so I could just do them all together at the same time. I don't know if this is a smart idea or not. Three kids taking pictures at once is a lot. They did however turn out pretty cute. I just posted the ones that the photographer put on on her site, I should get the rest next week. The one of the three of them was the last to be taken and after two hours I think it turned out fantastic, Lucy was a big fat mess. All the others with all three she is holding a pink princess phone that she would not give up. If I do say so myself, my kids are freakin' cute!

If you notice the number three on Blake's fingers it's because the photographer told him he only had to do five more and he was keeping track so he didn't have to do any more than she said. Silly boy!

To get Lucy to sit and somewhat smile for these we let her wear the pearls and Grace is holding a mirror up so she can see herself. She is such a little stinker!

Bowling Party

For Grace's birthday this year she only asked for two things, a bike with a kickstand and to go bowling with her friends for her party. The weekend of her actual birthday turned out to be a mess so we did a small family thing with her on that day and then had a her friend party the next weekend. It turned out well and she did get her kickstand bike on her actually birthday so she was super duper excited. With all of her friends at the bowling ally. I think they all had lots of fun.
After they bowled we all came back to our house for presents, cake and ice cream. This year she decided she wanted a Princess and the Frog Cake. I thought it turned out cute but it was the worst cake I have ever eaten and believe me I have eaten my fair share of cake!
