Deep in the Heart of Texas

I was able to head to Texas at the beginning of the month to attend my cousin Lindsey's wedding. I left the family home and met up with my mom and my sister. It was relaxing not having to worry about chasing kids around for 5 days and getting to shop, eat and get a pedicure. I will say that I did way to much eating, fried chicken and wedding cake. The only negative is my mom is quite the snorer and I had to sleep with ear plugs. Good thing we love her, JK! It was also nice to see my only two first cousins whom I haven't seen in almost three years. The wedding turned out beautifully and I am so happy that I was able to go. I was a big fat slacker and I didn't take any pictures, but who needs to take pictures when my sister Erin is around and hers are for sure going to turn out better, so all the pictures here I took from her. Thanks! Above are the bride and groom Lindsey and Jake during their first dance as husband and wife.Me, Lindsey and Erin.

10 Months Old

Lucy is ten months. She is still such a sweet and funny little girl. She stills loves to dance and anytime music comes on she starts dancing and clapping and gets so excited. This month she has also started to get very jealous of anyone who has my attention. I don't know if it is because I left her with her dad for 5 days but if anyone comes near me she starts screaming and crying. Blake has been sitting in my lap and she will try to push him off. She also doesn't let me out of her sight, she follows me everywhere. It is kind of flattering because neither of my other two really favored me but sometimes I wish she would just let Cameron hold her for two seconds without crying. Lucy is really starting to like table food and screams we someone is eating and she is not or if she has finished eating and wants more. Pretty much she is screaming all the time for one thing or another, I hope she grows out of this quickly! Lucy also really doesn't like grass. When you sit her down she keeps her hands up and hold one leg up so only one is actually touching the grass. She has gotten a little better and will crawl a little but she immediately goes right back to position. We pulled this hippo out for her to start walking behind and she will not. She will walk around the furniture just fine but any time we put her behind this she goes straight to her knees and pushes it. The kids love pushing her on it or riding it themselves. I have to keep reminding them that they are not babies.
Crazy hair!
She has discovered a great method of carrying things around while she crawls so she can keep them with her. She is my smart girl!
This is Lucy throwing a fit because daddy is holding her and she wants me!
She loves hiding under blankets with Blake and them throwing them off and giggling. She doesn't like to stay under long and Blake doesn't get that yet but he is really good at helping her hide and playing with her.

Happy Easter

Since Easter Sunday is General Conference this year I put the kids in their Easter clothes last week. I tried very hard to get a good picture of all of them but Blake can't seem to look at the camera and Lucy hates grass, this is the best I could get. On the way to church we put Lucy in her new seat for the first time so I got a quick picture and then the other two stuck their heads in and of course this one turned out better than all the others. Oh well what do you do!

Grace with her new short hair.
My oh so cute son, to bad he needs a hair cut and his dad likes the shaggy look.
My sweet baby Lucy who will not smile for the camera any more. At least she is looking right.
Happy Easter!

St George

Two weekends ago Cameron's brother Dan and his wife Katy invited us down to her family's house in St George. It was a nice warm weekend and we had fun relaxing and hanging out. I didn't get a lot of pictures, I was frankly too lazy but we did let the kids play in the fountains, went on a hike and had a fun girls night, eating out and shopping. Katy and Nickie did talk me into running a 10K which I did finish and I did finish running but I did do some walking in between. My advice don't skip the 5K, for sure do that first! Anyway the picture above occurred after our girls night out and was way more funny to us girls than the boys. Chris, Cameron's mom, told a story about how the boys use to all get the same shirt for Christmas so we thought it would be funny to get them matching shirts. We did get them a real shirt too but this one was so fantastically funny that we got it too and best of all it cost 7 cents. i am sure Cameron would kill me if he ever knew that this made it here but he never looks and I won't tell. Anyway thanks again Dan and Katy it was lots of fun. Top to bottom Dan, Brady, Jason, Cameron and Jesse.
