School Picture

I finally got Grace's school picture back. I had it retaken because the first time I put pigtails in her hair and she rolled around on the bus on the way to school and messed her hair all up. These I think turned out really well especially for school pictures!

Five Months Old

This month it seems like Lucy went from being my little cuddly newborn to a big girl. She all the sudden wants to grab everything and play with it. She really watches Grace and Blake run around and wants to do it to. It was like over night all the sudden she was big. Kind of sad and exciting all at once. I love this next stage that she is moving into but I really think I am going to miss my little baby, which is a first for me. I couldn't wait to get out of the newborn stage with my other two. The bad this month is she developed a rash over two weeks ago and we are trying to figure out what is causing it and how to get it to go away. We have switched formulas trying everything imaginable, used no soap, new soap, no lotion, etc. She has been to the doctor three times and they have no idea, they just keep saying try this or that. It is frustrating. But the up side is she is still so happy and such a good baby! I will report though that she is still not rolling from her front to her back. She pushes up on her arms great but she just can't roll. I think she will for sure crawl first!JKAlso this month she discovered her thumb and I love it! I know it will be a hard habit to break but it is so cute.
She looks so big is this outfit!
Lucy thinks Blake is so funny. Here he is calling her a naughty girl and she just giggled and giggled and she does every time he says this to her.
Being silly.
I really like the expression on her face.
Grabbing the toys. She was laying the other way watching the lights and some how she turned herself around to get the hanging toys. She can do that but she can't roll, go figure!

Disney Princesses on Ice

Last night Grace and I went to Disney Princess on Ice with my sister in law Katy and her little girl Maddi. The girls wanted to dress up so Grace got to be Belle and Maddi was Snow White. We went to dinner at Rumbi which was really good and then headed over. Both the girls loved it. Neither really said anything the whole two hours, they were mesmerized. Grace was a little disappointed because Belle didn't wear the dress she was wearing but at the very end she did come out in it so Grace was then very pleased. I really enjoyed myself also. Disney does such a good job with everything they do and this was no exception. Also at the very end when all the princesses came out the cheer went up that was kind of unbelievable from a group of little girls, it was loud. They all cheered so hard for their favorite one. Oh the joy of little kids! We really had a great time. Above is all of us before it started.Grace and I before it started.

3 Little Lions

All three of my children have worn the same lion costume for their first Halloween. Since they are all roughly the same age(Blake is the oldest in these pictures) I thought it would be fun to compare the three to see how much they look alike since this is one of the few things all three of them have worn. Above is Halloween 2004 with Grace as the lion. She is 5 1/2 months old. This is Blake Halloween 2006. He is 7 1/2 months old.
This is Lucy Halloween 2009. She is 4 1/2 months old. I guess they favor but I think they all have their own look.

Halloween Fun

This year for Halloween we had Belle, a cowboy and a lion. We had a ward party last weekend and the kids got to dress out and then for Halloween Blake, Lucy and I trick-or-treated our neighborhood. Poor Grace was at home sick but she was just happy that her sweet brother did her trick-or-treating for her. I think that she wasn't that overly upset because she got to dress up for our ward party and for a friend party she was invited to. To the left my cute kids.Grace was very insistent that she was going to be Belle. I tried very hard to get her to be Rosetta from Tinker Belle but she would have non of that. She really wanted her hair just like Belle's too so I invested in a curling iron and tried my best, she was pleased I think. On the night of Halloween she felt so bad she didn't even want to dress up but I am a mean mother and I made her so I could get pictures. In the end she was happy to be dressed up but she didn't trick-or-treat but she did watch her dad pass out the candy.
My little cowboy forgot half way around the neighborhood that he was a cowboy and started growling at everyone. I guess he should have been a dino or lion or something. Oh well he loved his guns. He also loved trick-or-treating. I couldn't get him to go home. I did finally have to take Lucy home because it was so cold but he couldn't have cared less. He was also so nice to get Grace some candy. She didn't get quite as much as him because he offered his bucket first and some people would tell him only one treat. He tried to explain but some people still said no. Oh well he tried and she did get some.
My cute little lion with spit all over. She thought she was pretty funny all dressed up and kept giggling. I am a bad mother and forgot her gloves while we were out but she never cried even though her hands were freezing. She just looked around very interested in what all the crazy people where doing.

Now we just need to get rid of all the candy so I will quit eating it!
